Just one day after bandmate Bushwick Bill was falsely reported to have died from stage 4 pancreatic cancer, the Geto Boys member announces that he enters the race for District D office.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Scarface is running as a City Council member in Texas.
The Geto Boys star first hinted he might stand for office in Houston earlier this month and on Saturday, June 08 he confirmed the news.
"It's official," he wrote on Instagram. "I'm offering myself for service as the next Houston City Council member for District D. Join our movement!".
Scarface's announcement came one day before reports surfaced suggesting his Geto Boys bandmate Bushwick Bill had died following his battle with stage 4 pancreatic cancer. However, Bushwick Bill's family and representative have since dismissed the reports, insisting he is still alive.
