The decomposed body of the former Mickey Mouse Club star was found in his home in Phoenix back in early April, but police officials have yet to comment on possible signs of foul play.

AceShowbiz - Dennis Day, a former child star on "The Mickey Mouse Club", has been confirmed dead, almost a year after he was reported missing.

The 76-year-old, one of the original castmembers, known as Mouseketeers, of the Disney variety show, disappeared in Oregon last July (18) after failing to visit his longtime partner at a local care facility.

A police investigation was launched, but an extensive search failed to turn up any clues as to his whereabouts until 4 April, when a body was found in his home in Phoenix.

Suspicions were raised as cops had previously found nothing at the property, and the remains were so decomposed, authorities were unable to identify the body as Day's until now, reports TMZ.

It's not clear how long the former entertainer's body had been in the house, and police officials have yet to reveal a cause of death. They have also not commented on possible signs of foul play.

Day was just 12 when he joined the cast of "The Mickey Mouse Club" back in 1955.

He remained on the show for two years, until moving on and working in the New York theatre industry, before later becoming a drama teacher in California.
