Reacting to news of the 'American Sniper' actor and his model girlfriend's alleged breakup, Internet users hope that GaGa and Cooper are eventually dating in real life.

AceShowbiz - Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk's alleged split has given new hope for Lady GaGa and Cooper shippers. Twitter users have once again linked up the Oscar-nominated actress to the Oscar-nominated director after it was reported that he had called it quits with his Russian model girlfriend.

Instead of expressing their sympathy, many fans expressed their hope to see GaGa and Cooper as a couple in real life soon. "star is born stan twitter on their way to ship lady gaga and bradley cooper now that he and irina have called it quits," one tweeted.

Another wrote, "If Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper don't get together by the end of this year i'm never listening to shallow ever again." Someone else added, "I don't mean to come across as rude or inconsiderate, but can Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper happen now."

Some others posted memes to imagine how GaGa would possibly react to the news of the couple's split.

News of Cooper and Shayk's breakup was first shared by PEOPLE, which claimed that the 44-year-old actor and the 33-year-old model "have officially decided to end their relationship and are amicably working out how to share custody of their daughter Lea De Seine." Neither of them, however, has addressed the reports nor confirmed their split.

Rumors of Cooper and Shayk's relationship issue have been swirling in the last several months, with the Sports Illustrated model recently being reported to have moved out the $4.5 million Pacific Palisades house which she shared with the "A Star Is Born" actor/director and their two-year-old daughter Lea.

As for the potential GaGa and Cooper romance, people had been speculating about this due to their strong chemistry in "A Star Is Born". It was further fueled by their intimate duet at the 2019 Academy Awards in February.

Denying that there's something romantic between her and her co-star, the "Bad Romance" hitmaker said on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" a few months ago, "First of all, social media, quite frankly, is the toilet of the internet and what it's done to pop culture is abysmal." She added, "People saw love and, guess what, that's what we wanted to you to see. This is a love song. The movie, 'A Star Is Born', it's a love story."

"From a performance perspective, it was so important to both of us that we were connected the entire time," she went on explaining. "When you're singing love songs, that's how you want people to feel." Insisting it was just acting, the 33-year-old singer/actress said, "I guess we did a good job. Fooled ya!"
