Diplo's side project, which had the Trinidad native for eight years to fill DJ Switch's spot, debuts its new line-up on stage for the first time at the Governors Ball festival in New York City.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Jillionaire has officially quit Diplo's side project Major Lazer.

The Trinidad native has been part of the trio for the past eight years after he replaced DJ Switch. He, in turn, will be replaced by Texas rap star Ape Drums, according to Billboard.

The new trio took the stage together for the first time at the Governors Ball festival in New York City over the weekend (June 01-02).

Diplo shared the new line-up on Twitter.

Posting a shot of the new line-up on social media, Diplo wrote: "Feels good to be back. We are grateful for your presence @govballnyc... a new era of lazer."
