Teaming up with a fearless race car driver played by Christian Bale, Damon's Carroll Shelby leads a team that builds a car to beat Ferrari for Ford Motor Company.

AceShowbiz - "Ford v Ferrari" depicts where dream begins as it releases its first trailer. The first sneak-peek video opens with Christian Bale's Ken Miles sitting on a race track with his young son (Noah Jupe). "Out there is the perfect lap. You see it?" he asks the boy, who says he thinks he can see it. Miles replies, "Most people can't."
Elsewhere in the video, Matt Damon's Carroll Shelby is approached by Ford's exec Lee Iacocca (Jon Bernthal) to build "the greatest race car ever seen." Looking intrigued with the idea, he proposes Miles to Henry Ford II (Tracy Letts) as the car's driver.
Initially reluctant to team up with the fearless British racer, Ford II eventually gives Shelby the greenlight to "go to war." After Miles signs up for the project, Shelby has only 90 days to build the car to beat Ferrari.
The trailer sees Miles racing at high speed, hitting cars and getting involved in an accident as other cars are flying through the air. It ends with a funny scene as Shelby makes Ford II scared to death and crying after taking him on a test drive.
Based on a true story, "Ford v Ferrari" follows an eccentric, determined team of American engineers and designers, led by automotive visionary Carroll Shelby and his British driver, Ken Miles, who are dispatched by Henry Ford II with the mission of building from scratch an entirely new automobile with the potential to finally defeat the perennially dominant Ferrari at the 1966 Le Mans World Championship.
Bale recently told EW what's at the heart of the movie, "It's these two friends figuring out how do you deal with these a**holes in suits who know nothing about racing. It transcends racing and becomes something that just captures the spirit of people who are willing to risk everything for their love."
Caitriona Balfe stars as Miles' wife Mollie, with Remo Girone, Josh Lucas and Benjamin Rigby taking other roles. James Mangold ("Logan") directs the pic, which is scheduled to head into theaters across the nation on November 15.
