After footage of the incident in Illinois spread online, the Judas Priest frontman notes that it is what will happen if people 'physically interfere with the Metal God's performance.'

AceShowbiz - Judas Priest frontman Rob Halford has warned fans not to "physically interfere" with the band's live shows, after he was caught on camera kicking one concert-goer's phone out of their hand.

The rockers were onstage at the Rosemont Theatre in Illinois earlier this week, ends May 31, when the singer was spotted targeting one person in the front row, who had their phone held high.

Video footage of the incident shows Halford singling out the attendee while performing Judas Rising, before taking aim at the device, sending it flying into the crowd.

The fan wasn't the only person in the audience to have their phone out, presumably to take photos and video clips of the gig, but reports suggest the devotee had actually been shining the flash at Halford, prompting the singer to take drastic action.

He has since addressed the incident, telling Loudwire, "The facts are we love our fans and you can film us all you like and watch our show on your phone rather than in the flesh.

"However, if you physically interfere with the Metal God's performance, you now know what will happen".

Metal God is the nickname Halford was previously given by fans.
