AceShowbiz - Pop star Katy Perry has forged a special bond with one lucky fan by getting matching heart tattoos to celebrate the release of her new single.
The "Firework" hitmaker joined devotees at the YouTube Music & Katy Perry Fan Experience in Los Angeles on Wednesday, May 29, shortly after dropping her latest track, "Never Really Over", and decided to mark the event by adding to her collection of skin art.
However, the 34-year-old didn't get just any tattoo - she chose to share the moment with a fan named Matheus Rodrigues, and together, they each had half of a broken heart inked on the side of their palms, reports the New York Post.
In the middle of the design, which is featured on her single's artwork, Katy's featured the word "miss," while Matheus' read "you".
The superfan took to Twitter after the bash to share photos from his first tattoo session, and captioned the post, "@katyperry thank u for being the most adorable & lovely person of the world (sic)".
Katy is known for getting a new piece of ink to commemorate single and album releases, as well as the end of each tour. Her vast collection of body art also features a strawberry, a peppermint swirl candy, and a lotus flower.
