While NBA officials want to make sure the 'God's Plan' hitmaker won't be a distraction, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry praises the Raptors' ambassador for being 'entertaining.'

AceShowbiz - Toronto Raptors officials have been given a warning to keep superfan Drake under control ahead of the team's first NBA Finals appearance.

Opposing teams have not appreciated the rapper's animated courtside behaviour, and now basketball bosses have urged owners to make sure their ambassador isn't a distraction as the Raptors prepare to take on 2018 champions, the Golden State Warriors, in Game 1 on Thursday night, May 30, according to ESPN.

Drake upset Milwaukee Bucks fans en route to the finals when he was spotted giving players pep talks, leaving his seat to wander up the court and even massaging Raptors coach Nick Nurse during a game.

But Warriors star Stephen Curry (II) has made it clear he has no problems with Drake's passion for his hometown team.

"It's been entertaining," he said. "I know it's a tricky situation with him being right there on the court but, at the end of the day, he's having fun (and) you can't hate on nobody having fun (sic)."

And Raptors player Norman Powell added, "He's a great supporter and it's funny how his passion for the team's really affecting the opponents... You can see it's bothering them."
