AceShowbiz - Rapper Lil Nas X sent elementary school students in Ohio into a frenzy on Wednesday, May 29, by staging a surprise performance of his hit song "Old Town Road".
Kids at Lander Elementary School in Mayfield Heights went viral last week, ends May 24, after principal Felecia Evans posted a video clip of the children closing out their talent show by singing and dancing along to the popular country crossover song, which features singer Billy Ray Cyrus.
Lil Nas X came across the footage and decided to reach out to school officials to organise a special appearance to thank the young fans for their enthusiastic support of his track.
He had a cameraman film the visit on Wednesday, when the students screamed and jumped around in excitement as he walked into the auditorium and hit the stage in his signature cowboy hat and jeans look, as the kids all sang along with him.
Lil Nas X posted the video on social media and captioned it, "SAW THESE KIDS TURNIN UP TO OLD TOWN ROAD 5 DAYS AGO AND HAD TO COME THRU AND PERFORM ONE TIME (sic). LOVE THESE MOMENTS!"
