AceShowbiz - Congratulations are in order for Arie Luyendyk Jr. and Lauren Burnham. "The Bachelor" couple has now officially become parents after they welcomed a baby girl into the world.
The new dad revealed the exciting news on Instagram on Wednesday, May 29, sharing that his wife had given birth to their first child. "We have a healthy BEAUTIFUL baby girl 6lbs, 13oz long. Mommy and baby are doing great, we are so incredibly happy," the 37-year-old former race car driver wrote.
Hours before to their baby's arrival, Arie took to the photo-sharing platform to share a photo of him hugging Lauren, who was in a hospital gown. "IT'S HAPPENING!" he excitedly captioned the snap.
"Literally the only reason I'm constantly checking insta is for THIS!" one equally excited fan wrote in the comment. "Congrats! And how does she make that hospital gown look so cute!" another user raved about new mom Lauren.
Arie and Lauren announced their pregnancy back in November 2018. "I kind of had a feeling that I might be pregnant. So my friend insisted on bringing a pregnancy test over," Lauren told Us Weekly. "Arie came out with the test in his hand and tears in his eyes. He was like, 'You're pregnant!' "
Arie went on adding, "We weren't trying, but we are so excited. It's going to be a whole new chapter in our lives." Of being a dad, he said on Instagram, "Nothing compares, absolutely nothing compares to the moment you find out you're going to be a dad! We cried, we laughed and it really was such a special moment for us, we're so freakin' happy!"
Later in January, the couple let the world know the sex of their baby. "I think, to be honest, in the beginning we were both hoping that we were having a girl," Lauren shared in addition to posting photos from their pink gender reveal.
