AceShowbiz - Erika Koike has broken her silence following her headline-making marriage to Nicolas Cage. In a candid interview with Daily Mail, the makeup artist admitted the fact that the actor filed for an annulment after four days of marriage left a bitter taste in her mouth.
"Nic did what he did," Erika said of the "Ghost Rider" star, before shutting down any possibility of reconciliation. "We're not going to reconcile or get back together. Nic could have come to me and talked to me, not publicly humiliate me. I'm hurt and mistreated, it's unfair, but the case is sealed, and my lawyer won't let me speak until we are all done."
Nicolas and Erika applied for a marriage license in Las Vegas back in March before exchanging vows at a chapel in Bellagio Hotel hours later. The former filed for an annulment four days after that, stating in the documents that he "reacted on impulse and without the ability to recognize or understand the full impact of his actions" when Erika suggested that they should wed. He also insisted that they had "such conflict in personalities and dispositions," claiming their marriage was "incompatible."
Erika has responded with documents of her own, requesting spousal support despite being married for just four days. She alleged that she lost a number of career opportunities during their romance and accused the 55-year-old of damaging her reputation with his allegations which stated that he was not aware of the "full nature and extent" of Koike's relationship with another person or her criminal history.
Following their failed marriage, Erika has recently been spotted locking lips with a mystery man outside of her apartment building. When asked by Daily Mail whether the hunk is her new boyfriend, she denied it as saying, "He's just a customer who comes here. He's not my boyfriend yet. I'm free to do whatever I want."
