AceShowbiz - Joe Giudice turned 47 on Wednesday, May 22, and it seems like he got a sweet birthday present from his family. A new report suggests that his reality TV star wife Teresa Giudice visited him in ICE custody alongside their four daughters Gia (18), Gabriella (14), Milania (13) and Audriana (9) to celebrate his special day.
Rumor has it, it was the first time they had seen Joe since he has been in ICE custody. "It is a difficult place to visit, from the overall cleanliness to the actual application for a visit to happen. Plus, it is just so far away," the source said to E! News.
This arrives after the United States Court of Appeals for The Third Circuit granted Joe a permission to stay in the U.S. amid his deportation battle. "The petitioner's motion for a stay of removal is granted. The requirements for granting a stay have been satisfied. … The temporary stay of removal previously granted is vacated as no longer necessary," stated the documents. "Petitioner's unopposed motions to seal Exhibit C to the Moseley Declaration and to amend/correct his stay motion are granted."
Following the approval, Joe's attorney revealed that they are "grateful that the Court has granted the stay." The attorney added, "Joe looks forward to continuing this fight to the very end. There is nothing more important to him than returning home to his wife and kids."
Both Joe and Teresa were indicted for allegedly hiding their fortune in a bankruptcy filing. "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star was sentenced to 15 months in prison for fraud in 2015, though she was released after serving 11 months. Meanwhile, Joe was released from federal federal prison in March after completing a 41-month prison sentence for mail, wire and bankruptcy fraud. He was quickly transferred into ICE custody as he awaits for decision on whether he will be deported to his native Italy.
