AceShowbiz - Jenelle Evans has been staying by David Eason's side and needing him more than ever now despite their tumultuous marriage and his violent streak that led them to lose the custody of her kids. The former reality TV star reportedly plans to fight the case together with her husband and fix their marriage after the custody battle is over.
"Jenelle has no intention of leaving David and is working with her lawyers on fighting this case no matter what," a source tells HollywoodLife.com, after the couple returned to court on Wednesday, May 22 for a fourth hearing. Another source shares to E! News about how they will work on their issues, "Once this is all said and done, Jenelle and David will start to see a marriage counselor."
Jenelle and David's attempt to retrieve their kids was still shut down by the judge during the latest hearing. "They left court today with everything status quo from where they started today. She is hoping to get her kids back in time for the summer. Her lawyers are being very strict about allowing her to talk about anything," the E! source reveals.
The case is being adjourned until Friday and the couple is expected to be back in court later this week. The court decision of Friday will likely allow Jenelle and David to "move forward with whatever the court decides for Kaiser and Ensley," but she "is very much hoping she will be able to get them back."
The source adds that the case "has been extremely draining on [Jenelle]. This was never expected. She is exhausted."
HollywoodLife.com's source, meanwhile, says that the 27-year-old has been leaning on her husband a lot amid the custody fight. "Jenelle doesn't know what she'd do without David by her side right now because he has been a huge support system," the source claims.
The source also stresses Jenelle's intention to keep her marriage to David. "She knows she's an amazing mom, and she loves her kids, and will do anything to get them back. But Jenelle doesn't feel she has to leave David to do so, and is prepared to do whatever it takes to get her family back together again," the source explains. "If that means a lengthy court battle then so be it, she is ready for whatever she needs to do."
Another insider tells the site, "Jenelle is not showing any signs of turning on David. If anything, this seems to have them closer because they are now working together to do everything they can to get back custody of the kids. Whatever anyone might think of Jenelle, those kids mean everything to her, they're her world and she's fighting like hell to get this overturned, she won't stop until she gets her kids back. Jenelle and David are very united on wanting that."
Jenelle is a mother to 9-year-old Jace Evans, 4-year-old Kaiser Griffith whom she shares with ex Nathan Griffith, and 2-year-old Ensley Eason from her marriage to David. Jace and Ensley currently live with Jenelle's mother Barbara Evans, while Kaiser is under the care of his father Nathan.
