In an attempt to clear his name, the 'Kiss Kiss' hitmaker will have Bennie Vines questioned by his lawyers about the Tampa, Florida assault case taking place in 2017.

AceShowbiz - Singer Chris Brown is seeking to clear his name over a 2017 assault case by having his alleged victim quizzed by his lawyers in a deposition.

The "Kiss Kiss" hitmaker is set to go to trial over a reported altercation with photographer Bennie Vines, who claims the R&B star punched him in the face in a Tampa, Florida nightclub two years ago.

The clash is said to have been caught on the club's security footage.

Brown has already pleaded not guilty to the felony charge, but his lawyers are hoping to gather further evidence to build their case by questioning Vines about the alleged attack when he is deposed on 31 May, reports The Blast.

The case is due to be heard at trial later this year.
