Claiming to be left a little shaken by the Bradley Cooper-directed movie, the 'I Could Use a Love Song' singer confesses there were things that happened to Lady GaGa's character that happened to her.

AceShowbiz - Country star Maren Morris had to seek therapy after checking out movie musical "A Star Is Born" because the storyline of Lady GaGa's character hit so close to home.

"The Middle" hitmaker admits she was a little shaken after picking up on a number of familiar elements from the film, which reminded her of her own struggle to make it in the music industry, while the romantic side of the story was somewhat similar too, as Maren also married a fellow musician, singer/songwriter Ryan Hurd.

"I had no idea what I was getting myself into," she tells Women's Health magazine about watching "A Star Is Born', which features Bradley Cooper as GaGa's troubled love interest.

"I had to go to therapy. Not the substance abuse part, but there were things that happened to (Lady GaGa's) character that happened to me."

And it wasn't just Maren who was impacted by the drama.

"That movie rocked us both," she shares of how it affected her marriage to Ryan. "We were like, 'We can never end up like this. Cool?'."

The couple wed in Nashville, Tennessee last year (2018) and celebrated its first wedding anniversary in March.
