The Spice Girls member was in 'a really bad' condition when she had the temporary blindness, but has since returned home and been in recovery after the sight in her right eye has returned.

AceShowbiz - Mel B (Melanie Brown) was reportedly hospitalised after losing sight in her right eye on Friday, May 17.

The 43-year-old, who is unable to see out of her left eye due to botched laser surgery 20 years ago, was rushed to Moorfields Eye Hospital in London on Friday.

According British newspaper The Sun, a frantic and screaming Mel told medical staff that she was "totally blind" and "couldn't see anything."

The mother of three is now recovering after swift treatment, but it's unknown what brought on the temporary blindness.

"Mel was in a really bad way. The other girls and their managers were really worried," a source told The Sun. "She went to the hospital in a chauffeur-driven car with an assistant, who was holding her hand."

After arriving at Moorfields Eye Hospital, Mel was later transferred to Luton and Dunstable Hospital's ophthalmology department and left once the sight in her right eye had returned.

A spokeswoman for Mel told The Sun that the "situation with Mel is under control. She is looking forward to the tour."

The singer is due to reunite with her bandmates Geri Halliwell, Emma Bunton and Melanie C for the Spice Girls tour, which is set to kick off in Dublin, Ireland on 24 May.
