Jon, who shares eight children Kate, weighs in on Kate's upcoming TV show 'Kate Plus Date' in a new interview, saying, 'If she chooses to do that, she chooses to do it.'

AceShowbiz - TLC recently released the first teaser for "Kate Plus Date", an upcoming dating show featuring Kate Gosselin. Now, her ex-husband Jon Gosselin has shared his opinion on Kate's latest venture, and it doesn't necessarily sound good.

"Well, I guess, to each [their] own. Whatever keeps the lights on," Jon said of Kate sharing her personal life on TV during an interview with HLN TV on Wednesday, May 15. "I don't know. I just work a normal job, so I haven't really been on reality TV in about 10 years."

"But, you know, if she chooses to do that, she chooses to do it," he added. The 42-year-old went on saying he still travels to Los Angeles and New York and does a little bit of deejaying. However, he preferred to stay out of spotlight.

Jon, who shares eight children, 15-year-olds Collin, Hannah, Joel, Leah, Alexis and Aaden, and 18-year-old twins Madelyn and Cara with Kate, went on saying, "Two of the kids live with me, Hannah and Collin, so they won't be on the show." He added, "They live with me and my girlfriend Colleen. We have a house right down from Kate's house."

"I'm pretty sure the other four won't be either. But I know, obviously, Mady and Cara are on the show," the former "Jon & Kate Plus 8" star continued.

As for his twin kids, they are " going off to college and the other 4 are living with Kate," he said. "I see them but I really don't have any interaction with the other six. Colin had one visitation with his siblings since he's been back. We're working on that."

The official logline for "Kate Plus Date" reads, "Raising eight children hasn't granted Kate much time for romance, but with her sextuplets grown and her oldest twins off to college in the fall, the time is right for the well-known mother of multiples to find that special someone."

The six-part series premieres June 10 at 10 P.M. ET on TLC.
