MC Flow, who was once signed to Young Money Entertainment, has been found guilty in April for killing brothers Kendrick and Kendred Bishop in New Orleans, Louisiana back in 2015.

AceShowbiz - A rapper formerly signed to Lil Wayne's Young Money Entertainment label has been sentenced to life behind bars for a double murder.

MC Flow, real name Widner Degruy, was arrested back in May, 2015 after brothers Kendrick and Kendred Bishop, ages 22 and 18, respectively, were found shot and killed in a car in New Orleans, Louisiana.

He was accused of slaying the siblings in retaliation after becoming convinced they had stolen $8,000 (£6,200) and two guns from his girlfriend's car days earlier, reports NOLA.com.

Degruy, who had left his cell phone at the scene of the crime, tried to blame fellow suspect Jonathan Evans for the murders, but his accomplice ended up co-operating with police, and agreed to testify against the rapper in exchange for a lighter sentence of 20 years in prison for his involvement.

Degruy, 27, subsequently pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and conspiracy to obstruct justice for lying to cops about the Bishop killings, while in April, he stood trial for second-degree murder charges, and was found guilty.

He returned to court this week, begs May 13, for sentencing, when Criminal District Judge Tracey Flemings-Davillier ordered him to serve life in prison without parole for the two murder counts, in addition to 30 years for conspiracy to commit murder.

He also received 40 years for obstruction of justice, and 30 years for conspiracy to obstruct justice.

Each of the sentences will be served concurrently.

Degruy had signed to the "Lollipop" hitmaker's successful record label in 2012, and was part of a group called L.A.T. with fellow rappers Gudda Gudda and Kevin Gates.
