In an attempt to dismiss Wojciech Cieszkowski's legal action, lawyers for the former '30 Rock' actor argue that the plaintiff is 'trying to turn a minor altercation into a multi-million dollar lottery ticket.'

AceShowbiz - Alec Baldwin is trying to dismiss an assault and slander lawsuit filed by the man involved in his parking space dispute.

The former "30 Rock" actor pleaded guilty to second-degree harassment in January and was ordered to attend anger management classes and pay a fine after he was accused of pushing and striking Wojciech Cieszkowski after he "stole" his parking space in New York in November (18).

Cieszkowski recently decided to take civil action against Baldwin too, and filed a lawsuit for assault and slander against him in April, claiming that the 60-year-old punched and shoved him during the incident and ruined his reputation by saying on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in February that he thought Cieszkowski was going to run over his wife Hilaria with the car.

Baldwin's lawyers Luke Nikas and Alex Spiro filed court papers at Manhattan Supreme Court on Tuesday, May 14, in a bid to dismiss the case. According to the New York Post's Page Six, the lawyers wrote, "Cieszkowski is trying to turn a minor altercation over a parking spot into a multi-million dollar lottery ticket."

They said the dispute was caught on video and backs up Baldwin's claims he didn't punch or attempt to punch the man during the drama, which contradicts Cieszkowski's allegations. The footage allegedly shows them standing face-to-face and Baldwin tapping him on the chest.

According to TMZ.com, Baldwin's lawyers also claimed the man's own medical records prove he didn't suffer any injuries, as his doctor allegedly only recommended he take one paracetamol.

As for the comments to Ellen DeGeneres, the lawyers state that they don't amount to slander because Baldwin was simply stating his opinion and wasn't accusing Cieszkowski of a serious crime.
