The 'Lonely Tonight' mistakenly thought a fan's comment was directed at him when she was actually responding to another fan's question about American flag in his music video for 'God's Country'.

AceShowbiz - Blake Shelton has apologised to a fan after misinterpreting their post on social media.
The country crooner released the music video for his new single "God's Country" on Sunday, May 12, and fans took to Twitter to enthuse over the star's latest offering.
"Been loving @blakeshelton 's New song God's Country!" one user wrote. "My only question is, why no American flag in the video?! America IS God's Country!"
In response to the post, another fan, named Cheryl, questioned why they thought the video should feature the American flag, writing, "Do you realise the whole world belongs to God? Not just America."
Blake, who had been tagged in both tweets, then entered into the conversation, and mistakenly thought the fan's comment was directed at him.
"WOW!!! A stunning revelation... Do you realise that America is a part of the world..?! And if this is God's world then....? Bam!!!" the 42-year-old wrote. "Congratulations!!! We're back at square one guuuurl!!!"
Shortly after the star made the post, another user quickly pointed out that the "The Voice" judge had misunderstood and it was "not what she was trying to say."
"Ohhhhh!!!!! Ha!!!! My bad!!!! I'm sorry Cheryl," he apologised. "Y'all see? This is why I suck at social media!!!"
The "Honey Bee" hitmaker also took the opportunity to gush over girlfriend Gwen Stefani in a subsequent post, sharing a stunning picture of the star and poking fun at his mistake in the caption.
"Here's one tweet I can get right...," he wrote alongside the shot. "Holy Moly!!!!"
