AceShowbiz - "The Voice" made a big announcement in the Tuesday, May 14 episode of its season 16. Following last night's performances of the remaining eight singers, host Carson Daly revealed the results and named the Top 4 who were moving to the Finals.
Before getting into the results, coach Blake Shelton kicked off the night with an epic performance of his latest single, "God's Country". Later, Carson announced that Maelyn Jarmon from Team John Legend was the first artist who was safe.
The next artist joining Maelyn in the Finals was Team Blake's Dexter Roberts. Following it up was a duet performance from Kelly Clarkson and her remaining artist Rod Stokes. The two joined forces to belt out "Chances Are".
For the third finalist, it was announced to be Gyth Rigdon. It marked the second Blake's team member who advanced to the Finals in addition to Maelyn. With that, the two singers who got the least votes would be automatically sent home. Meanwhile, the other 3 were set to compete once again for one remaining spot in the Finals through Instant Save.
Prior to further revelation, season 9 finalist Emily Ann Roberts returned to the stage to sing her new single titled "Someday Dream".
Kim Cherry (Team Blake) and Carter Lloyd Horne (Team Blake) were later revealed to be the bottom two and were eliminated right away. Andrew Sevener (Team Blake) opted for "Simple Man" for his Instant Save performance. Following it up was Rod Stokes, who offered a stunning performance of "Brother". Shawn Sounds from Team Legend rounded out the Instant Save stage performances with "That's What I Like".
The three offered their best through the perfomances but there was only one winner. The singer joining Maelyn, Dexter and Gyth in the Finals was Andrew! Congratulations!
The four finalists of "The Voice" season 16 will perform on May 20, with the results being revealed in the live May 21 finale on ABC.
