AceShowbiz - James Charles' career as a beauty vlogger is in serious danger. Amid his feud with fellow beauty guru and his mentor Tati Westbrook, the young social media star has lost two million subscribers on YouTube in less than two days after the latter exposed James' behavior. Making matters worse, it shows no sign of slowing down.
Furthermore, several celebrities and his peers in the beauty community have unfollowed him on social media. Among big names who have clicked the unfollow button on his Instagram page were Kylie Jenner, Kim Kardashian, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and Shawn Mendes. Jeffree Star, another popular beauty blogger, has also unfollowed him and called him out on Twitter.
"There is a reason that Nathan [Jeffree's boyfriend] banned James Charles from ever coming to our home again," he said on the micro-blogging site. "There's a reason why I haven't seen him since [Tati Westbrook]'s birthday in February. He is a danger to society. Everything Tati said is 100% True."
James and Tati's drama started during the first weekend of Coachella, when the former promoted Sugar Bear Hair supplements, which is a huge competitor to Tati's hair supplement company, Halo Beauty. She then accused him of being unsupportive and admitted to feeling betrayed. James had apologized for that, but she didn't buy it because on Friday, May 10, she posted a 43-minute video exposing his behavior and announced that she would be cutting ties with him.
Among his problematic actions that Tati mentioned in the video was the fact that James once made an inappropriate comment about wanting to hook up with a straight waiter at a restaurant and disregarded his sexual orientation. Singers Zara Larsson and Olivia O'Brien backed up this claim by saying that James sent their boyfriends several private messages despite knowing that they're straight.
James has since posted an apology video after Tati exposed him, but many didn't buy it and believed that his apology was insincere.
