Lil Wayne Blames Mandatory Security Check for Bailing Out of Rolling Loud Festival Gig

When explaining why he decided to cancel his May 11 performance via Twitter, the 'Uproar' rapper assures fans that he will still show up at a scheduled after-party at Story nightclub.

AceShowbiz - Rapper Lil Wayne pulled out of a set at the Rolling Loud festival in Miami, Florida on Saturday night, May 11, after refusing to security staff frisk him.

Wayne balked at the idea of a "mandatory" security check and bailed on his set, apologising to fans for letting them down.

"I do not and will not ever settle for being policed to do my job," he wrote on social media.

But he still showed up to hang out with some fans at a scheduled afterparty, staged at Story nightclub.

Earlier in the evening, another Rolling Loud performer, Kodak Black, was arrested for a series of firearms offences.

The Rolling Loud weekender ends on Sunday night, May 12, with a headline set from Kid Cudi. Lil Pump, Lil Uzi Vert, DMX and Tyga are also scheduled to perform.
