When sharing a behind-the-scenes photo of herself holding a coffee cup, the Daenerys Targaryen of the hit HBO series clarifies, 'The cup bearer does not drinketh the Starbucks tea.'

AceShowbiz - Emilia Clarke has poked fun at the recent coffee cup error in "Game of Thrones" by posting a picture of her holding a hot beverage on set.

Eagle-eyed TV fans noticed a Starbucks-style disposable coffee cup on the table near Emilia's character Daenerys Targaryen as she watches over festivities during a feast scene at the beginning of "The Last of the Starks" episode, which aired on Sunday, May 05.

TV bosses have commented on the mistake and it has since been digitally removed from the episode, and now the British actress has weighed in with a cheeky behind-the-scenes snap from the show.

Taking to Instagram, the 32-year-old posted an image which showed her, dressed as Daenerys but with blue netting around her hair, holding a similar coffee holder as she poses for the photo with Peter Dinklage, also in costume as Tyrion Lannister, and their former co-star Jason Momoa, who played Khal Drogo until 2012.

"Did I just stumble upon the truth here?! The cup bearer does not drinketh the Starbucks tea," she wrote in the caption, before insisting that Jason just came to visit the set and his character wasn't making a surprise return from the dead.

"Oh and this ain't a spoiler just a lost wanderer coming home for a mid filming cuppa....(fire emoji) @prideofgypsies you so fire you make my hair turn blue. #forfuturereferenceileavethebagin #drogonyouhavemyheart4lyfe #familyvalues @gameofthrones #forthethrone #forthecaffeine #forthedragons."

The "Aquaman" star commented on the post with, "Love u (sic" and three loved-up emojis.

While many social media users believed the rogue cup was from Starbucks, it has since been revealed it's from independently run coffee shop Paper Cup in Belfast, Northern Ireland, which is regularly used by the actors while they film nearby.

Earlier in the week, HBO bosses took to social media to poke fun at the editing error by writing, "The latte that appeared in the episode was a mistake. Daenerys had ordered an herbal tea."
