During a chat on the 'Talk Is Jericho' podcast, Jack Perry also reveals that working with director Quentin Tarantino on the period movie 'reinvigorated' and 're-energized' his actor father.

AceShowbiz - Luke Perry helped his wrestler son score his acting debut in Quentin Tarantino's upcoming film "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood".

The late "Beverly Hills, 90210" star will make his final onscreen appearance in the "Pulp Fiction" director's latest movie, alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt, and Margot Robbie, and Luke's son, Jack 'Jungle Boy' Perry (Jack Perry), reveals his father was "so excited" to have landed the opportunity to work with Tarantino.

"(It) reinvigorated him and reenergised him," the 21-year-old shared on the Talk Is Jericho podcast.

"He said, 'If I never work again, I'm happy with this.'"

The actor was so thrilled about the project, he even managed to negotiate a small co-starring role for his son.

"He's like, 'I want you to be in the same film or collection of footage that I'm in,' and he was really adamant about it," Jack recalled. "I was like, 'Alright dad, I'll do it.'"

"Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" centres on the relationship between a TV actor and his longtime stunt double as they try to find success in the Los Angeles film industry in 1969.

The all-star period movie also includes Al Pacino, Rumer Willis, Bruce Dern, Lena Dunham, and Maya Hawke, and it will premiere at the Cannes Film Festival in France, which runs from 14 to 25 May, before opening in theatres in July.

Perry died on 4 March at the age of 52, five days after suffering a massive stroke.
