Kiefer Sutherland's 'Designated Survivor' to Get Korean Remake

To be launched in July, the TVN version of the political thriller series will be titled 'Designated Survivor: 60 Days' and has 'Dae Jang Geum' actor Ji Jin Hee in the leading role.

AceShowbiz - Kiefer Sutherland's political drama "Designated Survivor" is set to get a Korean TV makeover.

Bosses at TVN have optioned a local version of the thriller, which will launch in July, according to Deadline.

Sutherland's show, in which he plays a reluctant U.S. leader, initially aired on ABC in America, but the series' third season will premiere exclusively on Netflix.

Ji Jin Hee will take on a version of Kiefer's character, Thomas Kirkham, who becomes President following a terrorist attack, which claims the lives of the U.S. leader and his administration.

The Korean show will be titled "Designated Survivor: 60 Days".
