AceShowbiz - Now that Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez have reached settlement in their own divorces, it looks like the rumored couple is no longer hiding their relationship. The Amazon CEO and the former news anchor were seen enjoying a date night at Emily in New York City on Sunday, May 5. It marked the first time they were spotted together since news of their romance broke last January.
In several images obtained by PEOPLE, Lauren was all smiles as she was greeted by paparazzi outside the restaurant. Keeping things lowkey, the star wore a navy blue jacket teamed with jeans and white sneakers while wearing her raven locks down. Jeff walked closely behind her, twinning in a navy blue shirt that he paired with a gray bomber jacket and a black hat. The pair didn't show any PDA during the outing.
According to a source, the alleged lovebirds enjoyed pizza and burgers along with his sister. "Both Jeff and Lauren have been focused on their kids for the last several months," the source told the news outlet. "Any relationship had to be on the back burner for that reason. Now that each has reached a divorce settlement, they thought the time was right to finally date like regular people."
Rumors of their romance first broke just hours after Jeff announced divorce from ex-wife Mackenzie. While numerous pictures of him and Lauren together prior to the divorce announcement surfaced online, the two of them had never been seen together ever since the report hit the web. Rumor had it, Jeff and Lauren decided to "stay apart until their divorces were done. It's mostly to protect the privacy of their children, but also because they felt it was the right thing to do."
Jeff and Mackenzie settled their divorce in early last month, with the former keeping 75 percent of their Amazon stock and all of their ownership of The Washington Post and the Blue Origin space company. Meanwhile, Lauren filed divorce papers from her husband, talent agent Patrick Whiteshell, shortly after that.
