The Disney actor, who has voiced Winnie the Pooh onscreen for decades, is embroiled in a court battle with Stephanie Cummings over custody and child support payments for their two daughters.

AceShowbiz - Veteran Disney voice actor Jim Cummings has been accused of rape and animal abuse in an explosive court battle with his ex-wife.

The 66-year-old, who has voiced Winnie the Pooh onscreen for decades, was put on blast by Stephanie Cummings in a Los Angeles court on Friday, May 03 as they fought over custody and child support payments for their two daughters.

According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Stephanie alleges Jim has tormented her since their 2011 divorce, claiming he has "engaged in physical, sexual and emotional abuse including but not limited to death threats, rape, and various sexual deviant behavior" against his ex, all without her consent.

She argues their girls are not safe around their father, who is accused of abusing alcohol and drugs, and notes an incident in 2013, when Jim allegedly sexually assaulted her.

She also alleges he groped her on a series of other encounters, prompting her to obtain two restraining orders against Jim over the years, before moving to Utah in 2017 in a bid to escape the reported treatment.

Stephanie goes on to accuse Jim of abusing the family puppy, once breaking its hip with a broom and on another occasion, putting the dog "inside a metal bucket outside of the house" on an extremely hot day, when the animal "came close to dying."

However, Jim is fighting back against all the damning claims, insisting Stephanie is trying to ruin his career with her "obscene" "distortions."

As for the animal abuse allegations, the actor admits he did put the pup in a "tub" as a form of discipline, and left the pet in there "for a while" after forgetting about it, but maintains the dog was fine.

Jim explains he has attempted to resolve the bitter legal battle "amicably," but she has repeatedly engaged in "outbursts of hostility" towards him.
