AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams' hard times have apparently started for some time ago. "The Wendy Williams Show" host is said to be often caught crying at work, according to a former intern at the morning talk show.

"I'd walk into her room and she'd be crying," the ex-employee said to Radar Online. "I didn't know why. She had an office and it's called the pink room. And at that time interns could go in and out and she'd have people in there all the time, production staff."

The source went on saying that "There would be months where she would be very sad and then nobody would ever know what it was about." The former intern, who has chosen to remain anonymous, also added, "She's seen me see her cry. You can't hide that."

The source also talked about Wendy's estranged husband and former manager Kevin Hunter. In addition to saying that he "had always sucked the energy out of a room," the former employee claimed that "the vibe that he gave off was very abrasive."

"He was not very friendly. He's always been stand-offish....I worry about him -- the potential of what he can do," the intern continued.

"I saw Wendy working very hard, and I never really liked how he got a lot of the acclaim," the source said. "How does he take claim of the show or say he’s a producer? She's the talent. So, like, what exactly is he doing?"

Back in 2018, it was reported that Wendy fired all of the interns who were working for her at the time. However, rumors had it, it was Kevin who made the decision. "I don't think Wendy would've done that because she had been an intern before and she knows how hard the grind is," the show source noted. "I think Kevin did that for power."

"He wanted to save face on his behalf and hide the negative aspects that he was contributing because as an intern you see everything," the source went on alleging. "You see the good and the bad. You can see a person when they're most vulnerable. So if he let all the interns go then there is nobody there to protect Wendy."

The new report arrives after Wendy filed for divorce from Kevin last month following 21 years of marriage. The latter has since been ousted from "The Wendy Williams Show" as an executive producer and as her manager. While the reason for the split is unknown, Kevin has been rumored to be cheating on her with Sharina Hudson for a long time. The two allegedly welcomed their first child together in March.
