AceShowbiz - Michelle Williams is in a good place after calling it quits with her husband of less than a year, Phil Elverum. The "Dawson's Creek" alum was beaming when she was spotted for the first time since the split news broke less than two weeks ago.

The 38-year-old stepped out in New York on Tuesday, April 30. In photos obtained by Daily Mail, she was all smiles as she was talking to someone on the phone through an earbud plugged into her ear. Michelle Williams is all smiles while being spotted for the first time since her split from husband Phil Elverum.

Michelle, who has been keeping her love life private, secretly exchanged vows with musician Phil in an intimate ceremony in the Adirondacks in New York in July 2018. Fans didn't know they were dating prior to the wedding news. They, however, ended their marriage just months later in early 2019. "Michelle and Phil separated at the beginning of the year," a source told PEOPLE. "It was an amicable split and they remain friends."

Michelle has a daughter, Matilda, from her relationship with ex-boyfriend and late actor Heath Ledger, whom she dated from 2004 to 2007, prior to his death of accidental drug overdose in 2008. She was previously also in a relationship with actor Jason Segel, filmmakers Cary Joji Fukunaga and Spike Jonze, author Jonathan Safran Foer, and financial consultant Andrew Youmans, whom she was rumored to have become engaged to in early 2018.

As for Phil, he lost his first wife, musician Genevieve Castree, to cancer in July 2016. They shared three-year-old daughter Agathe.
