Inside 'Shark Tank' Star Barbara Corcoran's 'Funeral'-Themed Birthday Party

Taking place at a Fifth Avenue penthouse in New York, guests at the party are greeted by the sight of the millionaire businesswoman inside a coffin upon arrival.

AceShowbiz - There are various ways that people can take to celebrate their birthday, but Barbara Corcoran's one is surely something that many can't think of. The "Shark Tank" star, who turned 70 on March 10, celebrated her milestone late by hosting a funeral-themed birthday party.

According to Page Six, the party took place at a Fifth Avenue penthouse in New York, where guests were greeted by the sight of Barbara inside a coffin upon arrival. The millionaire then jumped out of the coffin and began dancing around the room. She later served the guests a cake which was decorated with a plastic doll being eaten by a shark. Barbara additionally hired a professional tango dancer for the evening as the dress code for the party was "tango."

The New Jersey native shared on Instagram a picture taken from the bash. It featured her laying in an open casket as she opted for an elegant red gown. A cardboard cutout of herself dressed as a nun was placed beside the coffin. "And you thought she was dead...," the star cheekily wrote in the caption of the post.

One of the attendees offered a close-up picture of Barbara in the open casket, showing that the latter was actually biting a white rose. There was also a note placed on her stomach. "Only @barbaracorcoran has the huevos to pull this off! Happy 70 Barb I can believe you are still here!" so the attendee captioned the post.

Guests at the party included her "Shark Tank" co-stars Daymond John and Mark Cuban, the latter of whom called the whole event "creepy."

Barbara is known as one of the investors on ABC's "Shark Tank", which won Emmy three times. She has made 59 deals on the show and pledged more than $5.4 million in investments.
