'The Voice' Recap: Top 24 Hit the Stage Ahead of Big Elimination

The 24 remaining singers in season 16 of the NBC long-running series perform in front of coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson before they will be cut in half.

AceShowbiz - "The Voice" season 16 returned with a new episode on Monday, April 29. The new episode featured the 24 remaining singers performing in front of coaches Blake Shelton, Adam Levine, John Legend and Kelly Clarkson before they will be cut in half.

The first singer to hit the stage was Rod Stokes from Team Kelly. He performed a gorgeous rendition of "Midnight Rider" by the Allman Brothers Band. Matthew Johnson followed it up with a performance of John's "Ordinary People", much to John's liking.

Rebecca Howell offered a country stage by singing a fun rendition of Faith Hill's "Wild One". As for Presley Tennant, she opted to do a sensational and unique performance of Miley Cyrus and Mark Ronson's "Nothing Breaks Like a Heart". Abby Kasch, who was saved by Kelly last week, sang "I Got the Boy" by Jana Kramer.

Closing out Team Kelly's performances was Jej Vinson. Jej sang a smooth rendition of Khalid and Normani Kordei's "Love Lies".

Next up was Team John. Lisa Ramey opened the performances by singing "The Weight" by The Band. Meanwhile, Jacob Maxwell wowed everyone with a gorgeous rendition of Bonnie Tyler's "Total Eclipse of the Heart", before Jommy Mowery hit the stage to sing "Youngblood" by 5 Seconds of Summer.

Celia Babini was making a risky decision by opting for Fleetwood Mac's "The Chain", on which she added her own twist. Maelyn Jarmon followed the stage up with a perfect rendition of Maggie Rogers' "Fallingwater". Shawn Sounds brought energy to the studio with his performance of "Higher Ground" by Stevie Wonder.

Four contestants from Team Adam performed next. Kalvis Jarvis showcased his skills in his performance of Bazzi's "Mine", while Betsy Ade rocked the stage with a rendition of Jet's "Are You Gonna Be My Girl?". Mari took on Beyonce Knowles' "Work It Out". The last performance was from Domenic Haynes who sang a soulful take on Amy Winehouse's "Love Is a Losing Game".

As for Team Blake, it was opened with a performance of Randy Houser's "Boots On" by Andrew Sevener. The next performer was Selkii who sang "Iris" by the Goo Goo Dolls. Going old school for the night was Oliv Blu, who sang The Girl From Ipanema".

Gyth Rigdon got the audience swoon with his performance of "I Wanna Be Loved Like That". Kendra Checketts opted to sing Billie Eilish's "bad guy", while Carter Lloyd Horne sang Elvis Presley's "Heartbreak Hotel".

Kim Cherry showed off her signature rap skills while performing TLC's "Waterfalls". Before the episode concluded, Dexter Roberts offered the final performance. He kept it country as he hit the stage to sing "Ain't Nothing 'Bout You" by Brooks & Dunn.
