Words on the street suggest that production chiefs are worried the 'Reservoir Dogs' actor will miss filming when it starts in May, and his representatives have been informed about his firing.

AceShowbiz - Michael Madsen has reportedly been dropped from a new crime movie after his arrest for drink driving last month (March 2019).

The 61-year-old was taken into custody after smashing his Land Rover into a pole in Malibu, California, and due to a previous DUI arrest in 2012, he could go to jail for up to a year.

Michael had been set to star alongside Tara Reid and rapper DMX in the upcoming film, "Chronicle of a Serial Killer", but sources tell TMZ.com that the actor's representatives were informed on Thursday, April 25, he is no longer a member of the cast, costing him a $100,000 (£77,000) payday.

Filming begins next month in New York City, and production chiefs were reportedly worried the "Reservoir Dogs" star would miss the shoot due to his potential incarceration. Mandatory sentencing guidelines for repeat offenders mean that, if convicted, he faces between four and 364 days in jail.

The actor was due to play a police officer in the psychological thriller, but "Once Upon a Time in America" star James Russo has been signed up to the cast, allegedly to fill Michael's role.
