AceShowbiz - Remy Ma has gotten herself in trouble with the law. According to multiple reports, police are currently investigating the female emcee for allegedly punching her "Love & Hip Hop" co-star Brittney Taylor at a concert in New York.
TMZ reported that the incident took place on Tuesday night, April 16 at the Pretty Lou Benefit Concert at Irving Plaza near Union Square, where Remy was booked to perform at the event alongside Fat Joe. Brittney claimed to the cops that she entered the backstage area at the venue and "exchanged words" with Remy about a recent attack on the latter's stepdaughter, Dejanae.
That was when the "All the Way Up" femcee threw her punch, allegedly accusing Brittney of knowing more about the attack on Dejanae. Brittney then went to hospital for treatment before filing a police report on the following day. The star didn't report it immediately because she might have been embarrassed.
Remy has not been arrested or charged with a crime as of now. Meanwhile, a source close to her said that there's no validity to this story.
While Remy has yet to break her silence on the report, Brittney has shared on Instagram an evidence of the aftermath of the alleged altercation. Taking to Instagram, she shared a short clip of herself sporting a black eye. She didn't say anything in the video, though she wrote in the caption, "So, here am I on my way to a very important meeting and it's hard to even focus because of what occurred last night."
"I didn't wanna bring it to social media because it's pretty embarrassing and not a good look tbh. ...My Question is @remyma why did you really do this?" she continued, adding the hashtags, #WHATHAPPENEDTOWOMANEMPOWERMENT and #BlackLove.
This is not the first time for Remy to be caught in legal trouble. She served eight years in prison back in 2008 for reportedly shooting a friend over money.
