AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams seemingly doesn't have anything to do with estranged husband Kevin Hunter no more. "The Wendy Williams Show" host is said to be hiring extra security to protect her from Kevin, from whom she filed for divorce last week.

A source close to the talk show reveals to Page Six that the 54-year-old TV personality is negotiating an exit package from the show. The site further shares that the decision to up her security stems from the deteriorated relationship between Wendy and Kevin, who were married for 21 years.

Prior to the divorce, Kevin allegedly was cheating on Wendy for so long with a massage therapist Sharina Hudson. It was reported that Sharina gave birth to her and Kevin's child last month. Additionally, Kevin was allegedly abusive toward Wendy throughout their marriage. Rumor has it, Wendy got her shoulder broken back in December 2018 because of him.

This arrives after Kevin broke his silence after Wendy filed for divorce from him. "28 years ago I met an amazing woman: Wendy Williams. At the time, I didn't realize that she would not only become my wife, but would also change the face of entertainment and the world," he said in his first statement. "I have dedicated most of our lives to the business empire that is Wendy Williams Hunter, a person that I truly love and respect unconditionally."

Alluding to the cheating allegations, Kevin continued, "I am not proud of my recent actions and take full accountability and apologize to my wife, my family and her amazing fans. I am going through a time of self-reflection and am trying to right some wrongs."

He promised to continue being supportive of Wendy as he added, "No matter what the outcome is or what the future holds, we are still The Hunter Family and I will continue to work with and fully support my wife in this business and through any and all obstacles she may face living her new life of sobriety, while I also work on mine. I ask that you please give me and my family privacy as we heal. Thank you."
