AceShowbiz - Back in January, Jenelle Evans and her mom Barbara made headlines after jokingly threatening to kill Jenelle's "Teen Mom 2" co-star Kailyn Lowry in a drunk Instagram Live broadcast. The ordeal played out in the Monday, April 15 episode of the MTV reality show which featured Kailyn's extreme response to the death threat.

During the episode, Jenelle and her mom went to Atlanta for a girls' trip to destress. The two broke out the wine and beer they bought before and went live on Instagram. Jenelle later added co-star Briana DeJesus' sister, Britanny, to her stream.

At some point, Barbara joked they should "all get lit and we'll go kill Kail." Their broadcast was interrupted by producer Kristen who called Barbara amid the stream. "You have to tell Kail you were joking. … There's a huge s**t storm that you told Kail you wanna kill her. Tell her you were joking, because you are. You don’t want to kill Kail!" Kristen told Barbara.

Jenelle, meanwhile, said, "Just chill the f**k out, oh my God. Kail's probably watching this s**t right now."

Although Barbara later ensured their viewers that she wasn't being serious when she said she would kill Kail, she and her daughter revealed they couldn't understand why anyone would be offended. "I think she's envious of us and us reconnecting," Jenelle said. "None of her family wants anything to do with her and no one does because of the way she is."

Understandably, she wasn't happy with that and was even considering to take a big measure following the jokes.

"I don't want to be a part of a franchise that allows that kind of behaviour," she said, alluding that she's mulling over departure from the reality show. "I'm not getting on Instagram Live talking about killing anyone. Anytime that I talk about them is in response to something else."

She continued snapping, "At some point, you have to choose to disassociate with people and I don't want to associate with them or the DeJesuses. I just don't."

At that time, Kail also took to social media to blast Jenelle and her mom. "I heard Barb wants to kill me. … Are drunk words sober thoughts?" she tweeted on January 19. Meanwhile, Jenelle defended her mom, saying in an interview, "My mom did NOT mean that in a bad way. She is really upset everyone took it the wrong way and is still upset about it at this moment."

The wife of David Eason went on slamming Kailyn for "overreacting" despite knowing her mom's personality. "Kail wants any reason to have pity on her or have attention on her in any way, shape, or form. We don't like her, but we wouldn't ever physically harm her. Kail is the one that threatens to 'throw hands,' not us," she alleged.
