The woman portrayed by Joey King in TV drama 'The Act' has reportedly come in contact with her unnamed fiance following the debut of HBO documentary 'Mommy Dead and Dearest'.

Gypsy Rose Blanchard, who murdered her mother after being convinced by her she was terminally ill, is engaged.

Blanchard and her unnamed fiance reportedly became pen pals after he wrote to her following the debut of HBO documentary "Mommy Dead and Dearest", according to People.

That film inspired the new TV drama, which features Patricia Arquette as Gypsy Rose's mentally ill mum, Dee Dee.

Blanchard is currently serving a 10-year prison sentence after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the June, 2015 stabbing death of her mother.
