Aside from inviting his younger sister and the 21-year-old social media star to the stage, the 'ICON' rapper rides flying car and pays tribute to slain rapper Nipsey Hussle during his set at the annual festival.

AceShowbiz - The 2019 Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival finally kicked off on Friday, April 12 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California. Among the performers who took the stage on the first day of the annual festival was Jaden Smith, who brought his younger sister Willow Smith and Jordyn Woods to the stage.

Before the rapper and actor started his performance, Willow stole the show with her aerial stunt opening solo before Jaden arrived by singing on top of a white Tesla that dangled from several dozen feet above the stage. Despite how scary it might look, he didn't miss a single beat while joining forces with his sister afterward.

Meanwhile, Jordyn only appeared briefly during the "GHOST" singer's performance. She was seen dancing around the luxury car in a neon-green long-sleeve top and newly braided hair. Jordyn looked like she was having the time of her life even though she only appeared for a short time.

During Jaden's set itself, the son of Will Smith belted out tracks from his upcoming release, which is expected to be released this summer. He also got the crowd dancing to his hit "ICON" and gave a shout-out to both of his famous parents, Will and Jada Pinkett Smith, as well as slain rapper Nipsey Hussle.

"We just lost a legendary person, an amazing man, a legendary MC, so I want to use this time here up on stage on Coachella to just say R.I.P. Nipsey Hussle," he said. "We love you." Jaden ended his set 15 minutes before his performance was scheduled to end.

Among the famous faces who watched Jaden perform was his mom Jada, who stayed inside the Sahara Tent. His model friends, Kendall Jenner and Hailey Baldwin, were also there to support him.

Other performers who graced the stage on the first day of the festival include BLACKPINK, The 1975 and headliner Childish Gambino (Donald Glover).
