AceShowbiz - Selena Gomez will return to public life with an appearance at the 2019 WE Day California festival.

The singer and actress, who stepped back from the spotlight last year (2018) to focus on her health, will join Meghan Trainor, Chance The Rapper, Natalie Portman, Mahershala Ali and Joe Jonas, among others, at the salute to social change at the Forum in Inglewood, California on April 25.

Neil Patrick Harris will host the event, while other WE Day celebrations will also take place across the globe.

Announcing her participation in the California event, Gomez, a former host, says, "Every year, WE Day leaves me feeling inspired and hopeful. The youth have an incredible positive and passionate attitude for making real change in the world."

"I'm so proud to celebrate young people's year of social change and to remind them that together, we are an unstoppable movement dedicated to a brighter and better tomorrow."
