Nipsey's mother Angelique Smith says she is 'at perfect peace' now, while the late rapper's father Dawit Asghedom says that '[God] probably want to take him early.'

AceShowbiz - Nipsey Hussle's parents have broken their silence on their son's sudden passing. Speaking in a new interview with the Los Angeles Times, the late rapper's father and mother seem to have come to terms with their son's death.

Nipsey's father Dawit Asghedom believes that God sent his son for a mission, which he had completed early. "It was like he was sent by God to give some love to bring us together because that's what his lyrics were saying, always," he says. "He's not shy to tell the truth even though it might not look good. He wasn't scared of anything."

Dawit adds of his son, whose real name is Ermias Joseph Asghedom, "[God] sent him to send a message. It looks like, 'Your time is up because you have completed what I sent you to do.' We all have a plan, but God has his own plan. So he had completed what he needed to be doing and he did it early so [God] probably want to take him early too."

Nipsey's mother says she is at "perfect peace" now despite her grief about her son's tragic death. She additionally wants the "They Roll" hitmaker to be remembered as a "humble, spirited, respectful man who had, since his childhood, had an extraordinary and unlimited intellectual capacity," rather than a victim.

His girlfriend Lauren London, meanwhile, is focusing on keeping his legacy alive. "I'm going to keep my head high and always represent for my king to the fullest," she says. The model/actress goes on describing the rapper, whom she dated for nearly six years, "He was a protector and wanted us to be our best at all times. He was a truth seeker and truth speaker... He loved his kids. He was a family man. His family came first."

His brother Samiel Asghedom also speaks of Nipsey's positive influence to his community. "There's a lot of politics within the area that we grew up in, but he stayed the course and showed what he was about," Samiel shares. "He made something work in an area that was run-down, that people were scared to come to, and he turned it into a landmark."

Nipsey died on Sunday, March 31 after being shot multiple times in South Los Angeles. The suspected gunman, Eric Holder, was arrested two days later. Nipsey was 33 years old at the time of his death. He is survived by Lauren, their child together and his daughter Emani from a previous relationship.

A public memorial service for Nipsey is planned to take place for Thursday, April 11 at Staples Center. The organizer has handed out free tickets, which were cleaned out on Tuesday morning within minutes after being made available to the public.

Scalpers were trying to cash out tickets to the memorial service, but they were out of luck because AXS, which handled ticket distribution, tells TMZ that they shut down potential ticket fraud by distributing the tickets through the company's mobile app and making them non-transferable.

Nipsey will also be honored by having the intersection of Crenshaw Boulevard and West Slauson Avenue be named Ermias "Nipsey Hussle" Asghedom Square. His Marathon Clothing store, where he was shot on Sunday, is located near the intersection.

Los Angeles City Councilman Marqueece Harris-Dawson said in a statement announcing the news, "Ermias Asghedom, known as 'Nipsey Hussle,' was an icon and West Coast hero. Nipsey's genuine nature allowed him to be a light to everyone he interacted with, from family, friends, fans and his larger community."

"As a father, brother and son, Nipsey was a rock helping to build an empire that will continue through generations," the statement continued to read. "Nipsey will always be remembered for delivering a pure, authentic Los Angeles sound; his numerous philanthropic efforts; his innovative, community-focused business mindset; and his humble heart."
