The newly-retired UFC star has reportedly punched a guy at the Marble Arch pub in Dublin after the guy trash-talked his performance in a match against Khabib Nurmagomedov.

AceShowbiz - Newly-retired UFC star Conor McGregor is reportedly facing a police investigation in his native Ireland for allegedly assaulting a man in a pub over the weekend.

The sportsman was at the Marble Arch pub in Dublin on Saturday, April 06, when he was confronted by another patron who took issue with McGregor's behaviour, claiming he was acting like a jerk.

According to the Irish Mirror, the other man then began trash talking the fighter's performance in his last mixed-martial arts fight to Khabib Nurmagomedov, which he lost back in October (18).

The verbal jabs allegedly made McGregor lose his temper and punch the guy, and now police are looking into the dispute, although to date, no arrests have been made, according to TMZ.

The athlete's representative has yet to comment on the reports, which emerge days after it emerged that he was facing a sexual assault probe after he was accused of attacking a woman at the Beacon Hotel near Dublin in December (18).

McGregor was arrested in January but was released after questioning. He has not been charged with a crime, although cops are continuing to look into the claims.

Meanwhile, the Irishman has one less legal issue to worry about after a man who sued McGregor for smashing his phone at a Miami, Florida hotel last month (March 2019) decided to drop his legal action.

Ahmed Abdirzak went after the star for battery, assault, and intentional infliction of emotional distress and demanded more than $15,000 (£11,500), but he has since chosen to abandon the suit, suggesting the two parties reached a private settlement.
