AceShowbiz - The 54th Academy of Country Music Awards has officially started at Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Thomas Rhett kicked off the Sunday, April 7 event with debut performance of his new single "Look What God Gave Her", which served as the lead single off his upcoming fourth studio album "Center Point Road".
Rhett began his performance from his seat, giving his wife Lauren a kiss as the music started playing. He then ran up to the stage and made the audience members, including Tyler Hubbard from Florida Georgia Line, sing along to his song. While showing off his moves in a simple black leather jacket, white shirt and jeans, he sang, "Look what God gave her, how perfect He made her/ She walks in the room, it's like He answered my prayers/ The way that she moves, how could anyone blame her?"
His performance was followed up by Miranda Lambert, who offered the audience a medley rendition of some of her hits such as "Gunpowder and Lead", "Mama's Broken Heart" and "Little Red Wagon". Luke Bryan then graced the stage to belt out his new song "Knockin' Boots", before Chris Stapleton serenaded the audience with a sweet performance of "A Simple Song".

This year's ACM Awards was hosted by Reba McEntire, who joked during her opening monologue that she might be getting tired of hosting the event as this was her 16th time taking the duty. Taking a playful jab at the organization for the lack of female songstress in Entertainment of the Year category, Reba noted, "This year, five acts are up for the major honor -- and none of them are women. But that didn't bother Kacey Musgraves, because she's been too busy carrying all her Grammys around."
She also showed off her Cardi B impersonation as saying, "I do have a song we can do together. There's no 'U' in Oklahoma, and that's oKURRRR to with me."
Host @Reba brings class, comedy, and charisma to centerstage. It's all fun, ALL night at the 54th ACM Awards now on @CBS and @CBSAllAccess! You don’t want to miss this: https://t.co/TD9bN3QFcN pic.twitter.com/lozxU1v7zs
