The Maybach Music Group boss has got the late 'The Life' hitmaker's profile inked on his leg to honor Nipsey, who got killed on Sunday, March 31 in Los Angeles.

AceShowbiz - Rick Ross is keeping Nipsey Hussle alive with a tattoo. The "Purple Lamborghini" hitmaker took to Instagram Stories on Friday, April 5 to show off his new ink in honor of his fallen friend and fellow rap star.

Rick's new ink features the side view of Nipsey's face. "She just laced me with the new tat. R.I.P. to Nipsey Hussle," he said in a video, noting that the tattoo he showed was still a work in progress. "We got some more time to do. We got some more details to do," he added.

Rick also revealed that he recently collaborated on a new track with Nipsey and Teyana Taylor, and they were planning to shoot a music video for it. "Dam man I just had Nipsey and Teyana Taylor going over video ideas for our new joint on Port of Miami 2," he wrote. "When news broke, Teyana called me in tears and total disbelief. I'm listening to this s**t now in anger."

He went on saying of the "They Roll" hitmaker's legacy, "It's about what the culture lost. You know the young homie was pure, his heart was pure. Hopefully, Nipsey inspired some more young leaders."

The tattoo was done by Katherine "Tatu Baby" Flores, who also shared a photo of Rick's unfinished tattoo. She paid tribute to Nipsey in the caption, writing, "Life is not guaranteed, BUT THE IMPACT YOU MAKE IN PEOPLES HEART AND THE WORLD WILL LIVE IN HISTORY FOREVER! @nipseyhussle you did that and your legacy will live and burn brighter than the all hate and envy! #ripnipseyhussle."

The details are apparently so intricate that she needs more time to complete the work. "This is a first session on @richforever," the tattoo artist shared, "we still have to finish some details but wanted to share to the progress and send my respect to a legend and his family."

Da Boss had always supported Nipsey though the latter was not signed to his label. The Maybach Music Group founder backed Nip during his Proud 2 Pay campaign, selling his "Crenshaw" mixtape in 2013.

Nipsey once explained why he didn't sign to Rozay's label. "I was gonna do the deal when Ross put the MMG thing on the table," he told Big Boy on REAL 92.3. "Just the terms and the way Ross set up [things], and the way the conversation started in that building, it was a great opportunity. It was a great situation. I just had a concern with my team getting credit for breaking Nipsey Hussle, so I didn't necessarily want to take that from my team."

He continued, "I would have took that deal. Even just outside of the terms, just how Ross hustles. I believe in Ross as a hustler. Everything he said and done, every convo we had, every time I sent a verse he executed it. So I got a lot of respect for Rozay, so I would have just done it off GP. But I got a team I committed to ahead of time, and I had to make sure they got the credit for what they did."

Rick isn't the only one paying homage to Nipsey with a tattoo. Cleveland Cavaliers star J.R. Smith recently showed his new tattoo of the late rapper and wrote along with the picture, "#LONGLIVENIP @nipseyhussle."
