Confessing that the word inked on her skin is the one she is 'most scared of being called', the 'Girls' star tags writer Porochista Khakpour, 'Unrest' director Jennifer Brea and three others in the post.

AceShowbiz - Lena Dunham has had the word "sick" tattooed onto the back of her neck.

The "Girls" star is no stranger to body art and already has a rose motif inked on her right thigh, an image of Kewpie dolls on her right hip, a depiction of Ferdinand the Bull on her right upper arm, and a tribute to inspirational skateboarder Laura Thornhill Caswell on her stomach.

On Wednesday, April 03, Lena took to Instagram to upload a picture of the latest addition to her collection - the word "sick" on her neck written in a font that resembles rope.

"Sometimes the thing you're most scared of being called is the best thing you can call yourself. thank you @havenstudiobk for labelling me..." the 32-year-old captioned the snap, referring to the tattoo artists at Haven Studio in Brooklyn, New York City.

sometimes the thing you’re most scared of being called is the best thing you can call yourself. thank you @havenstudiobk for labeling me... and to my sisters in this dizzying but starry slog- i am lasso’d to you!

Lena's choice of tattoo seemingly reflects her experience with chronic illness, as she has long documented her struggles with endometriosis, a condition where tissue that behaves like the lining of the womb is found outside the uterus. She underwent a hysterectomy in late 2017 to help combat her symptoms.

And Lena also indicated that she was thinking of other women who suffer from serious health problems when she was getting her tattoo, as she added, "And to my sisters in this dizzying but starry slog - I am lasso'd to you!".

Among the women Lena tagged in her post was Porochista Khakpour, an Iranian-American writer who published "Sick: A Memoir" in 2018, with the book exploring her battle with Lyme disease, and Jennifer Brea, the filmmaker who made 2017 documentary "Unrest" about her experiences with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME), also known as chronic fatigue syndrome.

Kay Kasparhauser, Jay Bock, and Mab Graves were also included in the post.

In February, Lena also opened up about how she is now happier than ever and has finally become comfortable with her weight.

"At 32: I weigh the most I ever have. I love the most I ever have. I read and write and laugh the most I ever have. And I'm the happiest I've ever been," the actress wrote on Instagram alongside a picture of herself posing in black underwear.
