AceShowbiz - Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have launched a joint Instagram account, exciting royal fans. On Tuesday, April 2, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex announced the new account, which goes under the name @sussexroyal, while sharing a slew of pictures of the couple taken from their official engagements.

"Welcome to our official Instagram," the expecting couple wrote in the caption. "We look forward to sharing the work that drives us, the causes we support, important announcements, and the opportunity to shine a light on key issues. We thank you for your support, and welcome you to @sussexroyal."

The royal couple shared nine sweet photos that included special moments from their Australia trip last fall. One of the pics saw the pair greeting flag-waving fans in London, while another saw Harry shaking a military member's hand. Meghan was also seen hugging women involved with the Hubb Community Kitchen, which was started after a fire broke out at London's Grenfell Tower high-rise in 2017, killing 72 people.

Upon creating the account, they have amassed 1.8 million followers. Most of them took to the comment section to share their excitement and celebrate the pair joining the photo-sharing platform. The official account of Instagram even commented, "Ummm... hello! Welcome (heart emoji) We are so happy you are here."

Meanwhile, Princess Eugenie is taking the celebratory in a more special way. In honor of the new Instagram page, the cousin of Prince Harry posted a sweet photo of the royal couple sharing a laugh during their November 2017 engagement photo call to her own account.

They were both blown away by the hospital's facilities, which include a world-class maternity suite."

"The Duke and Duchess of Sussex appreciate all of the support they have received from people around the world since news of the pregnancy became public and are now looking forward to the delivery itself," continues the statement.
