AceShowbiz - Chaos broke out at a Nipsey Hussle memorial on Monday night, April 1. People gathered outside the late rapper's Marathon Clothing store in South Los Angeles, the same location he was shot a day before, to pay tribute to the star. But the vigil didn't last in peace for a long time as a loud noise sent people scrambling.
A video shows people running away from the memorial area after hearing the loud voice, which was suspected as gunshots. People were trampled as they fled, causing multiple to get injured. ABC7 reporter Veronica Miracle tweeted that "A HUGE stampede of people rushed out of the memorial area. People thought they heard something break or a loud noise and started running."

First responders transported 19 injured people with at least two critically injured, according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokesperson Margaret Stewart. USA Today additionally learns from Los Angeles Police Department public information officer Tony Im that one person was stabbed. Another person, meanwhile, was accidentally hit by a car.
The LAFD said a reported shooting call came in at 8:14 PST. They later said that there was no evidence of shots fired. Police at the scene attempted to "restore order" and asked that those gathered to leave the area. At 9:30 PST, tension remained high between people who stayed at the area and police who were forcing them to leave. Some of them threw bottles at the police in anger and frustration.
Addressing the situation, the Los Angeles Police Department tweeted on Monday night, "Our men and women are on scene and making every effort to protect everyone in attendance at the Nipsey Hussle vigil. Reports of shots fired at the vigil do not appear to be accurate. We do have injured in the chaos and are attempting to restore order." It added, "We are asking for everyone to follow the officers directions and disperse from the immediate area."

He's survived by his two children and longtime partner, actress Lauren London. While Lauren is described as Nipsey's girlfriend and baby mama in multiple reports, MTO News claims that she's Nipsey's wife. The couple allegedly wed in a private ceremony in Mexico last July, but kept details of their marriage private. They reportedly exchanged wedding rings, which they wore daily and were seen on their ring fingers on multiple occasions.
