The 62-year-old author takes to social media to issue an apology for 'thoughtless comments' she makes about Dennis Shield in the latest episode of the Bravo show.

AceShowbiz - Ramona Singer may need to think twice before making a comment on television. Before things get ugly between her and "The Real Housewives of New York City" co-star Bethenny Frankel, the reality TV star has issued an apology for a comment she made about the latter's deceased boyfriend Dennis Shield in the latest episode of the Bravo show.

During the episode, Ramona is doubting Dennis' intelligence and isn't afraid to express it to her other co-stars. "How smart can Dennis be? I mean, he was on drugs," she can be seen telling fellow cast member Sonja Morgan in the clip. The scene was allegedly filmed three weeks prior to his death, so that might explain why she didn't look the slightest bit sorry after saying that.

This time though, Ramona has fully reflected on her comment and deeply regretted it. Taking to social media, the author issued an apology that read, "I cringed when I saw what I said about Dennis in tonight's episode. It definitely wasn't one of my finer moments. I respected and liked him very much and I sincerely apologize to his family and Bethenny for my thoughtless comment."

Bethenny has yet to respond to her apology.

Dennis was found dead at his Trump Tower apartment in New York City in August 2018 after suffering a suspected drug overdose. He was 51. The New York City Medical Examiner's Office announced that an autopsy was not performed on his body due to a "religious objection." Thus, his cause of death has been ruled undetermined.

Bethenny opened up about her feelings following his death when she attended the launch of her SkinnyGirl Jeans line in that same month. "It's been very, very hard, I love him very much," she admitted. "He's very much a part of me and he's very much a part of this [launch]. He was very involved in my endeavors."
