AceShowbiz - Report of Mama June a.k.a. June Shannon's recent arrest was not well received by her ex Sugar Bear a.k.a. Mike Thompson. The 39-year-old reality TV star is allegedly so furious at the blonde lady that he plans to use this opportunity to get full custody of their daughter Honey Boo Boo a.k.a. Alana Thompson.
A source tells HollywoodLife.com that Sugar feels this is the best moment to do it as he has been waiting to be a bigger part of the teenager's life. "Alana's father, Mike, a.k.a. Sugar Bear, is furious at Mama June for getting into trouble yet again and arrested," so the source shares. "He loves and misses Alana and wants to use her run-in with the law as an opportunity to take full custody away from June."
The source continues explaining, "Sugar Bear fears that June may be messing with drugs and that her new boyfriend is untrustworthy. Mike feels this is all unhealthy for Alana." Sugar allegedly hopes that this time he will granted full custody of the child after failing to get it in the past. "He has been looking to spend more time with his daughter and wants to provide a stable life with a better future," the insider notes.
June was arrested at a gas station in Alabama on March 13 for drug possession. The arrest came after the "Mama June: From Not to Hot" star was caught having a confrontation with his boyfriend Geno Doak, prompting a witness to report the couple's alleged fight to police. Geno was also arrested and charged with third-degree domestic violence, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Mugshots of the lovebirds were released on Tuesday, March 19. They appeared to be wearing black T-shirts and were looking down toward the floor. June didn't look too thrilled in the picture.
Both of them have been released since then, but they are expected to appear in court soon.
