The 'Firework' hitmaker will be presented with the Inspiration Award at the 10th Diane Von Furstenberg Awards, while Anita Hill will be recognized with the Lifetime Leadership Award.

AceShowbiz - Katy Perry is set to be presented with the Diane Von Furstenberg award for her humanitarian aid efforts.

The DVF awards, which were launched by the designer a decade ago, honour those who are making a difference in their communities and the world.

Perry will be given the Inspiration Award for her devotion to various causes, such as LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender) rights and her role as a UNICEF (United Nations International Children's Emergency Fund) Goodwill Ambassador. During the event, civil rights activist Anita Hill will also be recognised with the Lifetime Leadership Award.

"For our 10th anniversary of the DVF Awards, I am honored to recognize these extraordinary women who have shown courage, strength and leadership, and have shown us how to make this world a better world," von Furstenberg said in a statement.

The ceremony will take place on 11 April at the Brooklyn Museum in New York.
