AceShowbiz - Joe Giudice has been released from prison in Pennsylvania and is currently taken in the custody of the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). While Teresa Giudice has yet to speak out about the good news, their daughter Gia took to Instagram Stories on Thursday, March 14 to send support to her dad.
The 18-year-old high school student shared on the photo-sharing site a throwback picture of her and Joe who looked dapper in a classic suit while holding baby Gia. "Sending you my love and strength today and always I love you," she wrote alongside the photo, adding a red heart emoji.
Joe is currently awaiting a ruling about his possible deportation to his native country Italy after he served 41 months at the Federal Correctional Institution for mail, wire and bank fraud. Teresa has made it clear that she won't move to Italy if the businessman is deported, but is hopeful that he can stay in the U.S. His attorney, James Leonard Jr., said in a statement, "His lawyers and his family are hopeful that justice will prevail and Mr. Giudice will return home to his wife and four daughters who love him and miss him."
A source additionally said to E! News of "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star, "Teresa is happy and relieved for Joe that his prison sentence is over. However, the reality is that Joe's release really only changes things for Joe. Very little changes for Teresa and the kids as a result of his release. Joe still can't come home and his deportation is still looming over their heads."
"Teresa hasn't given up hope that Joe can win his appeal and avoid deportation," the source continued. "She doesn't want to see her daughters suffer through that, but she also knows how strong and resilient her girls are. Even though she is hopeful, Teresa has accepted the fact that the odds aren't in Joe's favor."
